TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama’s Center
for Creative Media has partnered with the State Legislative
Leadership Foundation to develop a symposium on e-government, “Leadership
at Your Fingertips: Legislative Politics in the Information Age.”
The symposium will take place Oct. 30 – Nov. 1 in Point Clear.
The symposium is designed to help legislative leaders make more
effective use of digital media and the Internet to communicate with
their constituents and with one another. Senate presidents, house
speakers, and majority and minority leaders from states across the
nation are scheduled to attend.
The program will feature experts from across the nation who will
discuss the political applications of information technology and
the challenges and power of information technology. Participants
also will have “hands-on” exercises designed to help
them adapt these tools for effective leadership.
The State Legislative Leadership Foundation is a nonprofit, nonpartisan
