TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The University of Alabama kicked off Homecoming Week with the 15th annual Roll Tide Run on Sunday, Oct. 5. Nearly 350 students participated in the two mile walk, while 40 runners competed in a 10K run.

Winners of the 10K run were: Men, 1st place – Owen Bradley (43:18 time), 2nd place – Adam McBride, and 3rd place – Rick Funk; Women, 1st place – Jamie Woods (52:41 time), 2nd place – Kelly Cooke, and 3rd place – Julie Sanders.

On Tuesday, Oct. 7, 32 teams participated in a basketball tournament at the Student Recreation Center. The tournament was a new event added to Homecoming Week this year.

Winners were: Men, 1st place – Paty Hall 3rd Floor, 2nd place – Paty Hall RHA, and 3rd place – Sigma Phi Epsilon and Criminal Justice (tie); Women, 1st place – Chi Omega, 2nd place – Delta Delta Delta, and 3rd place – Alpha Delta Pi and Kappa Kappa Gamma (tie).
