TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Students, alumni and employers will meet and
greet each other during the 2003 Fall Career Fair at The University
of Alabama. This year’s event will be held on Wednesday, Sept.
24, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Bryant Conference Center.
Organizations with full-time, part-time and internship opportunities
will be participating. All majors are welcome. The UA Career Center
encourages students and alumni to dress professionally and to bring
résumés. Students also need to bring their student
ID.
To help students learn how to utilize the professional connections
made at the fair, the Career Center will be offering “Networking
at the Career Fair” workshops. The workshops are scheduled
for Sept. 17 at noon in 13 Bidgood, Sept. 18 at noon in the Ferguson
Mortar Board room, and Sept. 22 at 5:30 p.m. in the Ferguson Forum.
The UA Career Center’s Fall Career Fair provides employers
with the opportunity to market their organizations on campus and
to identify future employees. It is also an excellent opportunity
for students and alumni to discover employment positions available
across the Southeast and the nation. Many students who are interested
in learning more about specific organizations and possible career
tracks can take advantage of the chance to network with company
representatives.
