TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Charles T. Adair, a 1994 graduate of The University of
Alabama’s Culverhouse College of Commerce and
Business Administration, has been
named the business school’s director of development.
Adair replaces Zeb Hargett, who left the post after 12 years to enter private business
in Birmingham.
“I am pleased that Charlie Adair has accepted this key position with us,” said
Dr. J. Barry Mason, dean of the College. “He brings the necessary combination
of marketing savvy, financial knowledge, relationship building and dedication to the
College that is essential in this position. His experience in tax credit development
and financial structure and forecasting will be put to good use.”
Adair formerly served as vice president – investments for Guilford Capital
Corp. in Montgomery, a firm in which he also served as vice president- acquisitions.
He spent three years as an assistant cotton broker with Weil Brothers – Cotton,
of Montgomery.
He has been active in the Alabama Alumni Association and the YMCA.
