TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama GEAR UP Program, along with GEAR UP partners and Holt High School, is hosting a free spaghetti dinner and information fair Thursday, Dec. 2 at 6:30 p.m. in the Holt High School Cafeteria.

Local organizations, agencies, colleges, universities and businesses will be available to give specific information about future educational and career opportunities. Additionally, information will be available to facilitate the needs of families as they make plans for their sons and daughters after high school graduation.

GEAR-UP, a federally funded partnership between UA and Holt High School, works with local service and civic organizations to implement programs and strategies that will address the school’s need to improve academic achievement, reverse attrition rates, reduce the number of at-risk students and increase the number of students going to college.
