UA Welcomes Trial Expert Stanley Brodsky for Book Talk and Signing

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- University of Alabama Libraries will welcome acclaimed author Dr. Stanley L. Brodsky for a book talk and signing of his most recent book, “Coping With Cross Examination and Other Pathways to Effective Testimony,” on Thursday, Oct. 28, at 4 p.m. on the second floor of Gorgas Library.

Brodsky, a professor of psychology at UA, is the author and editor of 11 books and some 200 articles. He coordinates the psychology-law concentration for doctoral students at UA. Most of his publications relate to psychology and its application to legal issues.

Brodsky’s books “Testifying in Court” and “The Expert Expert Witness” were published by the American Psychological Association. He was the 1996 recipient of the Distinguished Contribution Award for Outstanding Achievement in Forensic Psychology from the American Academy of Forensic Psychology.

He maintains an independent practice in forensic and clinical psychology, and in trial consultation. He is also a frequent leader of workshops on court testimony, and is considered by some observers to be the nation’s premier expert on court testimony.
