TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Jerry L. Paschal has been named executive director of The University
of Alabama Career Center.
Paschal comes to UA from Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business where
he was the career center director.
“We are very pleased to have someone with Jerry Paschal’s abilities
and experience directing The University of Alabama Career Center,” said Dr.

“Alabama is a state that has been a leader in diversifying its economy by
bringing new business to the state. I am honored to join The University of Alabama,
one of the nation’s top 50 ranked public universities. I am impressed by the
University’s leadership, by its commitment to providing an environment that
fosters learning and creativity, and by its goal to help each individual student realize
his or her dreams,” Paschal said.
“Building on this commitment, the mission of the Career Center is to provide
students with the resources and opportunities to launch their professional lives.
We will synergize career services so that we can build on related strengths within
the University. Our initial goal will be to broaden our recruiting base of employers
so students can maximize opportunities,” he said.
During his time at Tulane, Paschal developed access databases for tracking employers
and employment statistics and worked with existing programs in Houston and New York
