TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The University of Alabama Coordinating
Council for Student Organizations (CCSO) will host Get On Board Day Wednesday,
Sept. 8, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on the UA Quad.
Get On Board Day is one of the CCSO’s premier annual events and will showcase
more than 275 registered student organizations. It provides a large number of students
an opportunity to learn about the many organizations available to them at UA.
The event will include free food, entertainment and door prizes. Food will be donated
by vendors including Domino’s Pizza and Taco Casa. Entertainment, sponsored
by CCSO and University Programs, will include music, a mechanical bull, sumo wrestling
suits, wax hands and a blow-up obstacle course. AmSouth Bank will also bring a money
machine that will give students the opportunity to win “free money.”
CCSO has sponsored Get On Board Day for a number of years and is proud of its continued
success. It is one of the largest and most widely attended events held on the UA campus
each year and it offers students many ways to get involved in campus activities.
For more information about this event, contact Amanda Barone or Clint Light at 205/348-2276, ccso@bama.ua.edu.
