TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The University of Alabama Graduate School will conduct a Graduate School Preview Day on Thursday, Sept. 23, at 3 p.m. in the Ferguson Center Theater on campus. The purpose of this event is to provide information to undergraduate students and other prospective graduate students who are interested in pursuing a graduate degree at UA.

Representatives from the various programs offered at UA will be present to answer questions about graduate study in their colleges. Also, the Kaplan Education Center will be on hand to provide students the opportunity to take a free practice test for the GRE, GMAT or LSAT.

Students who are interested in attending this event and taking the free practice test should pre-register by calling the Graduate School at 205/348-5922, or the Kaplan Education Center at 1-800 KAP-TEST (1-800-527-8378) to make reservations.

Events include:

• 3-4 p.m. – First Session in Ferguson Center Theater – “The Benefits of Investing in Graduate Education.” Hear from graduate admission professionals, graduate students and others.
• 4:15-5 p.m. – Breakout Sessions – Assistant and Associate Deans, Graduate Program Directors or other College Representatives talk about graduate studies in various colleges.
• Arts and Sciences (Natural Sciences and Math) – Room 301 Ferguson
• Arts and Sciences (Social Sciences) – Ferguson Forum
• Arts and Sciences (Fine Arts and Humanities) – Room 312 Ferguson
• Commerce and Business Administration – Ferguson Theater
• Communication and Information Sciences – Room 204 B Ferguson

• Engineering – Room 307 Ferguson

• 5:30-8:30 p.m. – Kaplan Practice Test: Students take free practice test for the GRE, GMAT or LSAT
• GRE – Ferguson Forum
• GMAT – Room 301 and 300
• LSAT – Room 307 and 309

Note: The test taking seminar and practice tests are concurrent sessions. Students who are not pre-registered for the Kaplan Practice Test should attend the seminar in 204Ferguson.
