TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – University
Programs at The University of Alabama was named the 2005
Best Campus Program by Campus Activities Magazine.
Nominations for the award come from schools and performers across
the country. This is the third year in a row that UA was selected
as one of the top five programs. The college programming event

University Programs is a UA student organization offering the
campus a diverse range of entertainment, including concerts, comedians,
speakers, performing arts and novelty/variety events. In the past
year, events included Michael Anthony, Buzz Sutherland, Sister
Hazel, the Roots and Morgan Spurlock.
“We are very excited about being the top campus in the country
and it is an honor to the students and staff who have worked with
University Programs for the past several years,” said Steven
McCullar, UA assistant dean of students.
University Programs has recently held UP all Night on Fridays
from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. featuring comedians, ThinkFast, acoustic music,
various novelties, movies and breakfast for a buck as free events
open to the UA community.
