TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama Panhellenic
Association along with Healthy Campus will be hosting Body Images,
a frank and open interactive program on eating disorders and self-esteem,
featuring MTV's Amaya Brecher of “Real World Hawaii” and
Veronica Portillo of “Road Rules Semester at Sea.”
The presentation is Thursday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m. in the Ferguson
Center Ballroom.
The two will share personal stories of their own battles with
anorexia and bulimia along with exploring the types and roots of
eating disorders through a multi-media presentation.
Several campus organizations including the Student Counseling
Center, Student Health Education and Wellness and the Student Recreation
Center will have tables set up after the event.
