Capstone Heroes Part of Capstone Creed Week Oct. 16-21

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The University of Alabama has begun the Capstone Heroes Program to be part of Capstone Creed Week Oct. 16-21.

The Capstone Heroes Program was created to enrich the overall program of Capstone Creed Week by focusing on individuals or groups who exemplify the ideals of the Capstone Creed.

The Capstone Creed was developed by the Student Leaders Council as a reflection of the core values that sustain members of the UA community.

Each nominee must be submitted by a nominator who will be asked to tell why that person embodies the ideals of the Capstone Creed. UA students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members are eligible to be considered for the Capstone Heroes Program.

Visit the Capstone Creed Web site www.capstonecreed.ua.edu for an online application. Nominations are due by Friday, Sept. 30.pstone Creed Week to highlight the ideals of the Capstone Creed.

Capstone Heroes will be announced Monday, Oct. 10, and they will be honored at a reception on Monday, Oct. 17. The Capstone Heroes will ride in the UA Homecoming Parade; the Ferguson Center will designate a place for the Capstone Heroes Wall of Fame.

Capstone Creed Week is a program of the UA Division of Student Affairs.
