UA Students Participate in Cooperative Education Program

TUSCALOOSA Ala. -- The University of Alabama Cooperative Education Program is an academic program in which a student alternates periods of full-time study with periods of full-time employment with professionals in their field.

In the program, students learn important career-related skills that enhance employment prospects after graduation.

The following UA students are participating in cooperative education positions:

Dustin William Thompson of Bay Minette is working for Meadwestvaco; he is majoring in mechanical engineering.

Derrick Duke of Gallion is working for Mercedes-Benz International; he is majoring in mechanical engineering.

Johnathan Morris of Lineville is working for the Center for Public Television in Tuscaloosa; he is majoring in telecommunications and film.

Christopher Cousins of Mt. Olive is working for Honda Manufacturing of Alabama; he is majoring in operations management.

Brooks Emory Latta of Dothan is working for ADTRAN; she is majoring in computer engineering.

Ynhi Thai of Long Beach, Miss., is working for Eastman Chemical Co.; she is majoring in chemical and biological engineering.

Jameson Prater of Tuscaloosa is working for Southern Research Inc.; he is majoring in mechanical engineering

Chase Gamble of Jemison is working for Saiia Construction LLC; he is majoring in civil and construction engineering.

Latrisa Pugh of Toddtown is working for GE Plastics; she is majoring in chemical engineering.

Greg Stuhr of Tuscaloosa is working for Army ARMDEC prototype integration facility; he is majoring in mechanical engineering.

Lauren Grace Bialoskurski of Huntsville is working for ISE Innomotive; she is majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in mathematics.

Joseph Aaron Godwin of Greenville is working for M.J. Harris Inc.; he is majoring in civil and construction engineering.
