UA Sarah Moody Gallery of Art Hosts Bachlor of Fine Arts Exhibit

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Sarah Moody Gallery of Art on The University of Alabama campus will feature the works of current students in the “2006 Bachelor of Arts Exhibition.”

The exhibition opens with a reception at the gallery in 103 Garland Hall on Thursday, May 4 from 6 until 8 p.m. and continues its run through June 3.

Student artists in the exhibition include: Breanna Conley, Robert Costello, Jenny Fine, Jessica Germany, Michael Gordon, Glen Gregory, Jonathan Matthews, Suzy Moorer, Rebekah Phillips, Jordan Sandlin, Chad Vickery and Alon Wingard. Works included represent the mediums of photography, sculpture, printmaking, painting, drawing, digital art and ceramics.

The exhibition is free and open to the public.

Funding support for the Sarah Moody Gallery of Art comes from the UA College of Arts & Sciences. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. weekdays and 2 - 5 p.m. Sunday. Summer hours are 10 a.m. – noon and 2-4 p.m. The gallery is located on the first floor of Garland Hall, which is on Woods Quad in the center of campus. The College of Arts and Sciences is the University’s largest division and the largest public liberal arts college in the state. Students from the college have won numerous national awards including Rhodes Scholarships, Goldwater Scholarships and memberships on the “USA Today” Academic All American Team.
