TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Author Ander Monson and Poet Jon Woodward will give readings Sunday, Feb. 25 at 7:30 p.m. in 205 Smith Hall on The University of Alabama campus, as part of the Bankhead Visiting Writers Series.

Monson is the author of three books: a novel, “Other Electricities,” a finalist for the NYPL Young Lions Award; a poetry collection, “Vacationland;” and an essay collection, “Neck Deep and Other Predicaments.” He edits the magazine DIAGRAM and the New Michigan Press.

Woodward’s books of poetry are “Mister Goodbye Easter Island” and “Rain.” He works at the Harvard Museum of Comparative Zoology in Boston.

The reading is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.
