UA Study Showing Economic Impact of Child Abuse to be Discussed in June 12 Press Conference in Montgomery

WHAT:

News conference to announce findings of study, “The Costs of Child Abuse vs. Child Abuse Prevention: Alabama’s Experience.” This report is an extensive study that breaks out the economic impact that child abuse has on the state of Alabama.

WHO:

Patsy Riley, first lady of Alabama

Judge William Ryan, chairman of the Alabama Department of Child Abuse and Neglect and Prevention

Dr. Milla Boschung, dean, The University of Alabama College of Human Environmental Sciences

Dr. Carl Ferguson, consulting economist and director emeritus of UA’s Center for Economic Research (CBER)

WHY:
