TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The 2007 University of Alabama Homecoming Court was selected in a general student election held on Tuesday, Oct. 2.
The following students were chosen to be members of the 2007 UA Homecoming Court:
-Sophia Francillon, an accounting major from Montgomery
-Kathleen Kelley, a public relations major from Indianapolis, Ind.
-Michelle McGaha, an industrial engineering major from Albertville
-Jessica Pugh, a pre-business major from Huntsville
-Kahdijiha Rowe, a telecommunication and film major from Atlanta
The 2007 UA Homecoming Queen will be announced Friday, Oct. 5 during a pep rally beginning at 7 p.m. on the UA Quad. The queen will be crowned during halftime of the homecoming football game between Alabama and Houston on Saturday, Oct. 6 at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
A record number of some 4,327 UA students voted in this year’s election held in the Ferguson Student Center and at the Student Recreation Center.
The University of Alabama, a student-centered research university, is in the midst of a planned, steady enrollment growth with a goal of reaching 28,000 students by 2010.
