TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The University of Alabama Crossroads Community Center invites students to participate in Intercultural Student Council Advisory Meetings designed to create a forum for diverse student voices and foster awareness and appreciation for the cultural differences represented at UA.

ISC Advisory Meetings are open to all students and will be held once a month. The meetings are opportunities to exchange ideas on cultural programs that students would like to see on campus, as well as advertise programs that other organizations are planning and find possible co-sponsors for future events.

The meetings will be held in the Ferguson Center Anderson Room from 3-4 p.m. on Feb. 28, March 27 and April 10. Refreshments will be served.

The ISC is situated within the Crossroads Community Center, where it advises the center on intercultural issues, builds cross-cultural relationships through student collaboration and provides the student body with opportunities to participate in the planning of cross-cultural campus activities.

The Crossroads Community Center is an initiative of the UA Office of Community Affairs, under the direction of Dr. Samory Pruitt, UA vice president for community affairs. Crossroads provides campus leadership in the areas of intercultural education and programming by promoting relationships across different cultures through innovative projects and events. Crossroads offers coordination for professional, multicultural dialogue and prepares students to better understand participation in a global society.
