Tuscaloosa, Ala. -- The 2008 African-American Read-In will be held at The University of Alabama on Monday, Feb. 4 from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Crossroads Community Center Lounge, 232 Ferguson Center.
The National African-American Read-In is in its 19th year. Participants on the UA campus are invited to read their favorite passages written by African-American women writers.
A reception will follow.
The 2008 Read-In is sponsored by the UA Women’s Resource Center, Crossroads Community Center, the College of Arts and Sciences, the African-American Studies Program, the McNair Scholars Program, the McNair Scholars Student Association, the African-American Graduate Student Association, and the Women Involved in Learning and Leading Program.
